12‑Week Online Reading Therapy Program
The 12‑week Reading Therapy Program is a high‑support, 1:1 online program for struggling and dyslexic readers. It is designed to identify the root causes of reading difficulty and help your child make meaningful, measurable progress in key reading skills over a clear, structured timeframe.

Meet Your Online Reading Therapist
I’m Catherine, a reading therapist and dyslexia specialist based in Fort Worth, Texas. I use a speech‑to‑print, linguistics‑based approach that is structured, evidence‑aligned, and tailored to each learner. For over 20 years, I’ve been helping kids, teens, and adults move from guessing and avoiding to reading and writing with genuine confidence.
I’m a certified special education teacher and have completed extensive training in multiple reading therapy and speech‑to‑print programs. My work focuses on identifying the root cause of reading difficulties and building a clear, step‑by‑step plan that actually fits your child’s brain.

Who This Program Is For
This program is a good fit for:
Children who guess at words, skip lines, or avoid reading whenever possible.
Readers who can “get by” on easier books but struggle with accuracy, fluency, or comprehension as texts become more complex.
How the 12‑Week Program Works
Step 1: Pre‑Assessment & Plan
In the first session, I complete a 1:1 assessment to look at phonemic awareness, phonics/decoding, fluency, and comprehension. From there, I create a customized plan that targets the specific skills your child needs most.
The program follows a simple, three‑part structure:
Step 3: Post‑Assessment & Parent Meeting
At the end of the 12 weeks, I complete a post‑assessment session and meet with you to review results. You receive clear data, a summary of progress, and a concrete plan for what to do next.
Step 2: 12 Reading Therapy Sessions
Your child then participates in 12 one‑to‑one online reading therapy sessions. These sessions use a speech‑to‑print, multi‑sensory, structured approach designed for dyslexic and struggling readers, focusing on the exact sound‑to‑print skills your child is missing.
The program includes 12 sessions of reading intervention plus a pre‑assessment session and a post‑assessment session (a total of 14 sessions for the once‑weekly option or 26 sessions for the twice‑weekly option). After the post‑assessment session, I also meet with parents to review results and provide a concrete plan for moving forward. Some families choose to continue on a month‑to‑month basis, others find that their child no longer needs this level of support, and some prefer to continue the work themselves. I provide full training and coaching so parents are equipped to continue the work at home if they wish.

All materials provided, including weekly lesson plans tailored to your child.
A customized word work folder that goes home (or stays at home) with all regular materials.

Unlimited email and text support between sessions for questions, troubleshooting, and encouragement.
These writing samples are from a student in the 12‑week reading therapy program. Over the course of the intensive, we targeted phonemic awareness, phonics, and written expression. By week 12, you can see clearer letter formation, more accurate spelling, and more confident writing.
What changed for this student included:
Moving from avoiding writing to attempting full sentences.
Improved sound‑to‑letter matching and spelling patterns.
Increased legibility and stamina for written work.
Shared with permission; individual results vary. All progress is monitored with formal reading assessments as well as work samples.
Progress Guarantee
When families complete the full 12‑week program and follow the home practice plan, I guarantee at least one full year of growth in at least one key reading area—such as phonemic awareness, phonics/decoding, fluency, or reading comprehension.
If we do not see at least one year of progress in one of these areas, I will continue working with your child at no additional cost until we reach that goal.
Progress is monitored and documented using developmentally appropriate reading assessments during the pre‑ and post‑assessment sessions, so you can clearly see where your child started and how far they have come.
Collaboration With Schools and Specialists
Your child’s reading progress doesn’t happen in isolation. With your permission, I:
Collaborate with your child’s school team, including classroom teachers and special education staff.
Coordinate with other providers such as reading interventionists or speech‑language pathologists.
Participate in IEP or 504 meetings when requested to share data and help advocate for your child’s needs.
